Treat your Donors as Donors!
Enjoy these tips from our new workshop, Integrate Special Events into a Dynamic Fund Raising Plan. I co-presented with Sharon Danosky, of Danosky & Associates, an amazing fundraising expert and consultant, who shared techniques to lay the foundation for generous long-term giving.
Your relationship with donors and bidders really
begins after your auction:
- Send a hand-written thank you note
- Add them to your database
- Send them all your information
- Ask them to give to your annual fund
- Invite them to other events
Thanks to your overwhelming requests, we'll bring this workshop to the Boston area this spring along with new Tele-Seminars and Seminars.

Kathy’s Favorite Baked Brie Delight
1 large sheet of puff pastry dough (grocer's freezer)
1 round of Brie cheese (do not remove rind)
1 jar of cranberry chutney
½ cup of chopped pecans (optional)
Working on a well-floured surface, roll out the puff pastry so that it will fully cover the brie on both sides. Place the puff pastry on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Position the brie in the middle of the puff pastry. Dump the chutney on the brie. Add pecans or other nuts (optional). Fold excess pastry around the wheel. Pinch the puff pastry together to seal in the chutney and nuts. Brush the entire top side of the brie with a beaten egg. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes, pastry should be golden brown. Place on a pretty platter. Serve with crackers and apple slices.
