Our Team: Jill Doherty and Erin Doherty
Jill Doherty, Professional Auctioneer
Jill Doherty, 2002 International Auctioneer Champion, Women’s Division is a second generation auctioneer. She has appeared on various national television shows including The Today Show and David Letterman Show. Jill feels that one of her proudest accomplishments is performing with her daughter Erin as a Mother Daughter Auction Team. Her father was the late Jack Doherty who started the family auction business over 35 years ago. She enjoys working with non profits to continue to use the Auction Method of Marketing to raise funds and entertain audiences.
Ms. Doherty is a graduate of the Missouri Auction School, the Certified Auction Institute and is a past president of the New York State Auctioneers Association. She was the 1997 New York State Champion Bid Caller.
Having been responsible for raising Millions of Dollars over the past three decades for Charities, Schools and Organizations. The bottom line, she loves what she does. AUCTION!
Erin Nolan, CAI, BAS, Professional Auctioneer
A third generation auctioneer, Erin has been in the auction business her entire life. She attended the World Wide College of Auctioneering and for the past sixteen years has been a member of the National Auctioneers Association attending their annual conventions.
She has her Bachelor of Arts in Women Studies – with a focus on Art History – from SUNY Purchase New York. After earning her degree she aimed at a career in art auctioning but then found her passion in benefit auctions. Erin recently became the first person in New York to become a certified Benefit Auction Specialist. She received this honor after learning from extensive courses through the National Auctioneer’s Association in Seattle, WA.
In addition, Erin is a member of Quick Change Artistry, working backstage at New York fashion shows. Working closely with all the major designers, Erin is a head dresser focused on organizing and calming backstage chaos of high fashion shows. Erin’s experience working with last minute details and high pressured situations is invaluable.
Erin’s education and experience help her bring creativity and excitement to her auctions. She has travelled extensively, having studied in Spain, Italy, and China. Her unique ideas and positive energy add excitement to all of the work that she does. Erin has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for multiple organizations and can’t wait to help raise more!
