New Volunteer Source is Dream Come True!

Recruiting volunteers: Is it Greek to you? Your answer should be YES!

Kappa Chi Sisters

For 16 years, Kappa Chi Alpha of Western Connecticut State University has adopted Dream Come True and volunteers year round! Pictured here with Eric Nadeau, Gala Chair and Vice President of Dream Come True Board of Directors

How do you find great committed auction volunteers who work diligently and enthusiastically year after year? Let's face it, volunteers are the backbone and heart of benefit auctions and fundraising events. Finding and keeping well trained and dedicated volunteers is a top challenge for every auction organizer. Here's a hidden wellspring of new volunteers.

Sororities and fraternities are actively engaged in local philanthropic efforts and are looking to partner meaningfully with great nonprofit causes right in their own communities. Look no farther than your local college or university. I'm so excited to showcase this fountain of volunteer talent, enthusiasm and commitment.

As a stellar example, I'd like to share how the incredible sorority Kappa Chi Alpha "KXA" of Western Connecticut State University supports a key local charity. For the last 16 years, these remarkably talented and passionate young women have completely dedicated their philanthropic efforts to a local nonprofit Dream Come True all year-round. This vibrant nonprofit grants dreams to seriously, chronically, and terminally ill children in western Connecticut.
